The Stratum platform

Keep the systems you trust.
Make the relationship responsive.

Stratum sits above the systems a bank already relies on. It connects context, rules and journeys so the experience can change without forcing the bank to replace what already works.

What Stratum adds

A layer for the parts of digital banking that need to keep changing.

The core remains deterministic. Stratum gives the bank a configurable layer for recognising context, applying its own logic and adapting the experience.

01

Recognise

See what changed.

Signals and events can be recognised without rebuilding the channel.

02

Understand

Put it in context.

Relationship history, products, permissions and current context stay connected.

03

Apply

Use the bank’s rules.

Eligibility, segmentation, business rules and journey logic remain bank-controlled.

04

Respond

Change what comes forward.

Relevant services, messages and journeys can move forward across channels.

How it works

Everything available is not equally relevant.

Stratum does not replace the bank’s source systems. It keeps their data, events and capabilities available, identifies what matters to the current relationship, applies bank-controlled rules, then brings forward the appropriate response.

01 · Available context

Everything available

Signals, data, products, capabilities and relationship history remain available from the bank and connected services.

ExamplesCustomer · account · transaction · behaviour · location · permissions

02 · Relevant now

What matters now

When something changes, Stratum narrows attention to the context that matters for this customer, account or business at this moment.

ExamplesTravel event · salary change · balance threshold · merchant activity

03 · Bank rules

What is allowed and appropriate

The bank’s own eligibility, permissions, segmentation, risk controls, business rules and journey logic determine what can happen next.

ExamplesEligibility · permissions · segmentation · business rules · journey logic

04 · Experience

The experience responds

The relevant service, journey, message or action moves forward through the appropriate channel — without rebuilding the systems underneath.

ExamplesService · journey · message · action · channel

The relationship keeps its context. Relevance changes with the moment.

Coexistence

Built to sit on what the bank already has.

Most digital programmes stall on the same question: how much has to be replaced before anything improves? Stratum answers it by leaving the systems of record where they are. The ledger keeps the balance, payments keep clearing, identity keeps proving who someone is. Stratum changes only the layer where the experience is decided and assembled.

What stays where it is The systems of record

Core, cards, payments, CRM, lending, identity and partner services remain authoritative and untouched. Stratum reads from them and writes back through their own interfaces; it does not hold a second copy of the truth, and nothing has to be migrated before the first initiative goes live.

What changes above them The adaptive layer

Context, segmentation, business rules, journey logic, configuration and APIs live in one place that is meant to change. A new journey, a new market or a new segment is configuration on a layer built for it, rather than a release against a system that was never designed to move that fast.

What the bank keeps Control of the decision

Eligibility, permissions, risk controls, product policy and customer strategy stay governed by the institution. Stratum decides how the experience responds; it never decides what the bank is willing to offer, to whom, or on what terms.

One layer moves. Everything beneath it carries on as it is.

Start small. Expand.

Change one initiative without creating another dead end.

A bank can begin with a specific need, prove the operating model, then extend the same platform into more journeys, services, segments and markets.

01ONE PRIORITYSolve the initiative that matters now.
02MORE JOURNEYSReuse the same context, rules and integrations.
03MORE MARKETSExtend configuration without rebuilding the relationship.
